Island Art Show

June 22 – July 11, 2025

In this popular exhibit, Island artists and off-Island artists who come to the Island in the summer display their creative talents in one memorable show, and it’s all for sale at very reasonable prices. We welcome a variety of artwork — paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, ceramics, wood, and mixed media pieces. Much of the work has an Island theme, but that is not a necessity.

This show is an important fundraiser for the Gallery. Artists may submit up to four pieces. The Entry Fee is $10 per submission, and the Gallery will charge a 25% commission on sales.

If you wish to participate in this show, complete the Entry Form below and submit it to the Gallery office by June 15. The Entry Fees of $10 per submission are payable by e-transfer (gmag2121@gmail.com), or cheque made payable to the Gallery, and mailed to the Treasurer, Grand Manan Art Gallery, 10 Marathon Lane, Grand Manan, NB, E5G 3A3.

Artwork must reach the Gallery by June 20. For the convenience of mainland artists, artwork may be taken to By The Sea Framing, 122 Water Street, St. Andrews, NB on June 17 or 18. Artists are advised to call (506) 529-8700 to arrange a time for delivery of their work.

Submitted work must be ready to hang, and a label with the name of the artist, medium and title of the piece must be attached to the back of the artwork. Artists are advised that an image of their artwork may be used for publicity purposes to promote the show.

Work that is mailed, or sent by courier, must be in a reusable shipping container with a return address. Unsold art may be collected at closing (6:00 PM) on July 11 , or no later than noon on July 12.

Gallery visitors will vote for their favourite pieces, and People’s Choice Awards of $100, $150 and $200 will be given for the three most popular works in the show. In addition, this season we will attempt to encourage artists 12 years old and younger with a Young Artist Award of a Grand Manan Art Gallery T-shirt and a $150 gift certificate for art supplies.
